I had the preschool kids this week for police appreciation day. We took a tour of our police station. It was a lot of fun.
Megan W. and Merrick standing in front of a jail cell.
Miley, Susie F. and Regan E. in front of the cells.
Eva A. and Leslie (one of the other preschool Mom's who came to help with the 8 kids)
This is Stevie F. He is Merrick's best friend on the planet. They play almost every week and LOVE Lego video games. I'm so glad that Merrick has a best buddy when there aren't many boys his age around here.
He slept most of the time and was an angel! Those cells are tiny and that is where the people have to sleep - not even enough room to lay down on the cement bench. Luckily no one was in them and we were able to see them.
The girls sitting in the back of the police car.
There's Miley in the middle.
Merrick trying out the drivers seat in the police SUV.
Stevie riding shotgun.
Poor little Eva back there was pretty scared the whole time. She didn't like the sirens and she didn't like the taser they showed us - it made her cry. She's a little sensitive and very Witty. My preschool kids: Eva, Regan, Cloe (Susie's little sister), Miley, Stevie, Merrick, Susie, and Megan. Everyone except Cloe and Miley will be going into Kindergarten at EAGLE this fall. I'm glad they will already have good friends before they start Kindergarten.
Meeting one of the "uniformed" officers.
Honorary junior officers.
Take a look at Merrick's bangs. When we got his hair cut last time he looked great. The next day we saw that big chunk out of his bangs. He took the scissors to his hair and cut it to his scalp. It is slowly growing back.
The most popular guy in the station!
This was our tour guide - a very nice, very pregnant officer.
