Merrick goes swimming

Merrick did so awesome with swimming this year. He moved into the intermediate class. He loves diving and is not doing too bad at back floats (which are his least favorites). I think he has a hard time with back floats because he has no body fat. He has to work hard to stay afloat.

He had another boy in his class whose father tried recruiting him for hockey. The guy played in the Pros and is coaching now. He is setting up a team of kids born in 2006 like his son. It was flattering, but way expensive and there are no rinks in our area. The closest location is over 30 minutes away and he would have to practice 4 days a week. Not very fair to the other members of our family. I think we've decided to stay with soccer, at this point, as our main sport and he loves it.
