Easter Eve
We had a really full Easter Eve. We had our t-ball game at 8:00am. The kids did great and I am really grateful that we have gotten all of our 10:00am games out of the way already. From t-ball we went straight to the Laveen Community Egg Hunt. It's put on by the city and a local church. We didn't go last year because it was raining but the weather was great this year. The kids got to do an egg hunt and they all got plenty of eggs. The funny thing about Arizona is that you can't put chocolate or anything that will melt in the eggs. So, the kids got a lot of tootsie rolls. We got their faces painted, made necklaces and key chains, played games, made bunny ear hats, and ventured to visit the Home Depot craft area which was wiped out of tool box kits and firefighting money banks and so they were using colored foam pieces to make a trivet. We opted to not stand in line for this lame project and we will visit Home Depot or Lowes another day to do crafts. After this egg hunt we went to Bass Pro Shop for their Easter activities. We took a picture with the Easter Bunny, made a hanging egg craft, and did an egg hunt through the store. We had some kids-eat-free passes to the restaurant in the store so we ate there. I have to say that the crafts and hunts were all free, but somehow Bass Pro still got their money out of us (there is a lot to look at in between events). We got home about 3:30 and Michael went to the Priesthood session while the kids and I visited a friend who had set up a cookie/cupcake/lemonade stand. It was really cute and the kids had a fun time giving their money and picking out what they wanted. It was a great day.
