Why Bass Pro is a great store...

Last week we did summer camp there - for free! Michael took off Tuesday and Thursday and we spent all afternoon there both days. They have classes and then you do a scavenger hunt for answers. Once you bring the answers back to the teacher you get a pin. We pulled out some of our Marine lanyards and then made a pin collection for each of the kids. The first day the classes were: Pet Safety, Fishing Basics, Archery, Shooting Basics, and Animal Identification. Then they also got their fish pictures, they got to paint animal footprints (Merrick's favorite part), and they got to practice casting fishing lines into buckets. The shooting gallery was free (there is no way I would pay to have the kids miss the targets) and they also got to shoot bows and arrows in the archery gallery. Everyone had an awesome time.
