EAGLE Roundup

I took the kids to the school for the Fall Festival that they call the PTA Roundup. The kids had a blast playing with friends, watching the principal and Miss Coffey kiss a pig and visiting the petting zoo. I also let them get books while we were there. The one bad thing was that they ran out of food and were scrambling to deal with that by sending people to get more. But, the kids had fun. I didn't get many pictures because I am dealing with my backup camera and it does not do well in low light and with kids running everywhere. We were all there, though.
Two of the "character pillars" that are part of the student's grades.
Miley was in Heaven! This girl LOVES pigs. She loves everything about them. She even loves pig cartoons. Peppa Pig is her favorite now but she also likes Olivia. She has never gotten to see or touch a pig. Now she got to pet not one but two pigs. They had a piglet in a bucket that the kids could touch. It was so little that it could have fit in my two hands. The funny thing was when we were waiting in line she was standing by the fence watching the pig and when it was oinking she came over to me and asked if it was passing gas. I said no, that is what oinking really sounds like. This was definitely a highlight for her. Oh yeah, see that goose back behind - she and Merrick had the best time trying to catch that bird. Apparently it was quite fast and they never could get him.
