Magic Kingdom

So, on October 6, we went to Magic Kingdom. There is something about riding the ferry across the lake and seeing your children's faces light up when they see Cinderella's Castle for the first time. This is by far my favorite park. So many fun rides for the whole family. One of our favorites is the Winnie the Pooh ride and of course Peter Pan. They are building a Princess part to the park that will open next year, so Toon Town is now closed. It did rain a little during the day, but we still had a great time.
This castle is so amazing and for all of our kids it is an essential part of "Disney".
They had all of the fall decorations up. So Pretty!
The very first thing we saw when we got into the park was Eric and Ariel. Ariel is Madelyn's favorite princess and there were only three groups in line, so we decided to wait through the break for them to return. Little did we know that all the adults would want photos with the pair and would talk for at least 10 minutes per group. It got a little ridicules, but we finally got to see her and it was nice that Merrick got to hang out with a prince too.

Madelyn had to hang onto Michael so that he wouldn't run off.

Lucky for us Gamma was willing to go stand in line for the Fairies and we were able to walk in to see them.
First up was Terence, from the Tinkerbell movies.
Poor Zander, he's at the stage where it was a little awkward to get in the pictures. I do think he was having fun.
I love her face at seeing their matching outfits.
What a great group!
Here's Merrick, our little pirate, at the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. This is also a favorite in our family.

Our little ones always love the carousel. I think everyone liked it.
Can he do it? Can he pull the sword from the stone?
He certainly tried hard to get it out.
Guess he's not the king.
Next it was Zander's turn to give it a go.
A gallant effort, but alas he's not the king either.
Maybe it is a queen that the people need.
Guess not.
One more try, can she do it?
Looks like no king/queen in our bunch. They sure had fun trying.
This is one of the signs for the new princess theme park. Madelyn is trying to stand just like the Beast.

The kids with Gamma, we were so glad that she came with us. Notice the girls princess slipper ears. Madelyn ended up loosing hers at some point that day, oh well.
This is outside the Winnie the Pooh ride. The kids visited Pooh's house.

My boys!

This photo is so typical of Merrick. Ever since he was a baby he has loved maps. He gets his own map anywhere we go and he loves telling us where we are and where to go.
A right of passage in our family. Michael got his very first Mickey Ears (with his name on it).
Look at those happy faces. We got his hat at the end of the day, so I'd say we did pretty good for having a baby that was still happy.
