The good thing about our school district...

The good thing about our school district is that the kids get off for 2 weeks in October, 2 weeks in December, and 2 weeks in March. For a lot of people in this area it doesn't matter too much because a lot of people out here are from Utah or California and it is within driving distance.

We are Southerners at heart and us going on a real vacation usually means a lot of planning. Since we haven't left our house since March of 2010, we decided to go to Disney World this October.

We left at 6am on Monday, October 3. Our flight was at 8am. It was crazy bringing 3 car seats and two strollers and a bag for each of us - six bags and 2 carry ons. There is a 3 hour time change between Arizona and Florida, so we didn't get in to Tampa (we couldn't get 5 tickets on a flight into Orlando) until 4:30pm. It was a long flight with an 11 month old. I was grateful to have Michael to be able to take the kids to the restroom when they needed to go because we had to sit in 2 rows. By the time we got our car and drove to Orlando and got checked into our condo, it was after 6 pm.

My mouth was drooling the moment we got of the plane. I really miss the food in the southeast. Let's just say that we went to Stake 'n' Shake and Longhorn several times in the 2 weeks we were there. The only things missing were Philly Connection and Rafferty's and I would have been in total Heaven. (We have an Applebee's by our house and everything else is 20-30 minutes away so we were spoiled in Florida).

On Tuesday we were joined by Michael's Mom, Pam and our nephew, Zander. We went to the lazy river pool at the hotel and relaxed. On Wednesday we went to DISNEY WORLD!!!

Our condo was on the 5th floor of the building to the left. It was a two bedroom apartment with a screened in porch. Pure awesomeness.
